Welcome New Riglet Ambassadors!

As we enter into summer, we’d like to welcome our newest Riglet Ambassadors! Joining our ambassador family this year we have:

The Franklin Family

Riglets: Reid (6), Rowyn (5), Collyns (2)

Home Mountain: Big White

“We are a family of (soon to be) 6 with a passion for the outdoors and living an adventurous life. We relocated to Kelowna, BC to be closer to the mountains where we could take advantage of our favourite activities as a family including hiking, biking, rock climbing, wake surfing/wakeboarding, paddleboarding and of course SHREDDING THE POW!! Pretty much since birth, our kids have been exposed to these activities and have started to develop their own love and passion towards them. You can find us up at our “home mountain” Big White most weekends in the winter and looking for the next great outdoor adventure all summer long. Our family motto: If you fall down, what do you do? GET BACK UP!”- Alyse Franklin

The Lanthier Family

Riglet: Remy (2)

Home Mountain: Bear Mountain/Snow Summit

“My name is Megan Lanthier and my husband Travis and I grew up in Lake Arrowhead, CA where we both developed a love for snowboarding at a young age. When our daughter, Remy, was born we continued to snowboard just as much as before, bringing her along with us every time. We would strap her to us and take her for runs and as soon as she could walk we got her a Burton Chicklet and she was hooked. She took her first solo run at 18 months and impressed us all with her courage and ability to snowboard at such a young age. We have so much fun snowboarding as a family and are thankful that Burton has created products for the youth making this all possible.”- Megan Lanthier

The Strilaeff-Peterson Family

Riglet: Neva (5)

Home Mountain: Appalachian Ski Mountain

“Neva was hooked on snowboarding from the moment she first stepped on a board at age 2. By age 4, she was competing regionally, and in 2019 as a newly-minted five-year-old, she was the youngest competitor at USASA Nationals, placing 7th in Slalom and 9th in both Boardercross and Giant Slalom. While there in Colorado she tried out a half-pipe for the first time and fell in love with snowboarding all over again! Her goals for next season include catching some air on the half-pipe and winning more races! When there’s no snow on the ground Neva can be found racing BMX, mountain biking, or skateboarding. She thrives on challenging herself, absolutely loves going fast and firmly believes without a doubt that she is capable of anything she puts her mind to.”- Ronna Strilaeff

The Toal Family

Riglets: August (5) and Harper (2.5)

Home Mountain: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

“My two mini-shredders are 2 and 4 years old, our local hill is Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and we shred together as a family every weekend. I helped coordinate a Riglet Outreach event at our local elementary school this past January (the students and PE teacher LOVED it!) and I also helped get the word out and promote the Riglet Park Day at JHMR, which was also a huge success and so much fun. My husband and I have been snowboard instructors since the late 90’s (my husband is an AASI examiner) and now that we are parents, we are huge advocates of getting toddlers on snowboards. Our son and daughter were getting pulled around the house on Riglets as soon as they could stand.” – Sarah Toal

In addition to our four new ambassadors, we also have our wonderful ambassadors from last season, The Yates Family with Hannah (7) and Oliver (7) and The Rodas Family with Emma (7) and Sophie (6).  Join us in welcoming these new ambassadors aboard- we can’t wait to follow along on their adventures this year!
